The Vallée Blanche is a downhill of 20 Kms and with a difference in altitude of 2,500 m from the top to the bottom. The journey is accessible to skiers with an intermediate level. This fantastic well-known downhill takes place between tops at more than 4,000 m and impressive glaciers. And you can access this place from Chamonix, thanks to the aerial tramway of the Aiguille du Midi. Journey in the Vallée Blanche: You will meet your moutain guide at the aerial tramway station of the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix, it will take you to an altitude of 3,842 m in only a few minutes. Once you've joined the top of the moutain, you will first be roped up and climb down a rigde. Some 20 meters lower, you will then be able to put your skis on and start the downhill of the Vallée Blanche. You can choose between different ways according to you technical knowledge, your level or your physical condition. But whatever way you choose, you will be surrounded by the most beautiful views. The easiest one, which is also the classical one, is accessible to every intermediate skier (able to ski on red pistes) The more experienced skiers would prefer more technical journeys. The downhill of the Vallée Blanche enable you to practise a wide range of off-piste skiing, from powdery snow to heavier and denser snow, you then have to be able to ski on different snow types.
