Mixed routes Snow/mixed climbs are on remote routes at altitude involving difficult passages and rock climbing on rock, snow and ice. These activities are programmed in a variety of mountain ranges to have the best choice of climbs. Mont Blanc Massif, Chamonix Petite Aiguille verte 3512 m (Beginner) A lovely climb, which can be done in a day from Chamonix, perfect for novices wanting to discover the alpine world in the high mountains. Start by taking the Grands Montets cable car at Argentière 3 233 m. Explication of crampon techniques and security … We're off! Progression roped up on the glacier before starting the ascent in the snow and continuing along the rocky arête with a 360° viewpoint of the surrounding summits and a stunning view of the valley of Chamonix. Some climbing to reach the well-earned summit adds flavour to the day! Return by the same route.
 Dômes de Miage 3 669 m (Beginner) A 2-day climb on snow for people with a very good level of fitness who have done several easy climbs and have good crampon technique.  DAY 1:Leave from Contamines Montjoie, a long walk crossing the forest to reach Tré la tète hut for a well-deserved rest! The day isn't over; we're on Tré la tète glacier and continue to Conscrits hut. The mountain world is opening up! DAY 2:Leave the hut in the night to cross the glacier and reach the pass. The Domes arête appears on the left, a bit more effort and there's the summit. A stunning view of Mont Blanc! Return to the hut via « Bérengère », a rocky summit below Dômes de Miage then return on the same route taken on the way up as far as the village of« Cugnon ».
Courtes traverse 3856 m (Experienced) 2 days are needed to reach the summit. DAY 1: One of the best hut ascents in the Mont Blanc Massif.We arrive at Couvercle hut after a traverse of the Mer de Glace. There is a system of ladders to leave the glacier onto the footpath to the hut. DAY 2: From the hut, go up a snow couloir to the foot of the Courtes tower. There is a superb unforgettable view of the two faces, especially the Vallée Blanche!We follow the arête sometimes in snow, sometimes on rock to reach Aiguille Croulante and Aiguille qui remue. There are a few easy climbing passages on this traverse, which make this an interesting alpine route. The descent starts with Col des Cristaux arriving at Couvercle hut after an adventure of more than 3 800 m in the heart of the Mont Blanc Massif.
Aiguille du Tour 3540 m (Beginner) A lovely snow climb via the Couloir de la table: perfect for an introduction to the world of mountaineering. Leave Albert 1er hut, 500 m vertical drop separates us from the huge Trient plateau where we have a pause! Direction Aiguille du Tour to arrive at the Le pied du couloir de la table. Superb ascent in the snow before reaching the arête leading us to the summit. This is an easy summit and unfortunately very busy in high season, so schedule for June or September.
Aiguille des glaciers 3 700 m (Beginner) Wonderful 360° view of Mont Blanc. This route takes 2 days. DAY 1: Walk to Tré la Tête hut from the village of « Cugon » Contamine Montjoie. Follow the footpath in the forest and the slopes under the hut. A long hike but pleasant to be in the shade. DAY 2: From the hut we arrive on the Tré la Tète glacier passing round several crevasses to reach the foot of the ridge Ouest de l’Aiguille des Glaciers.This jagged ridge is mainly snow covered and makes this an appealing easy climb with a "picture postcard "summit.
Massif des Ecrins Dôme des Ecrins 4 015 m (Beginner) « Ecrins 4000 ». Leave Ecrins hut for a long ascent not needing much climbing technique but not to be underestimated, as the altitude is tiring! We have to zig zag around the crevasses on the glacier, which makes the climb more attractive. We pass in front of Ecrins breach after which the slope becomes steeper and it's important to establish a rhythm. After Rimaye passage the difficulties are behind us and we make the summit! A wonderful climb, essential if you are in the Ecrins massif, which is still a totally unspoilt territory!
Pelvoux Traverse 3943 m A wonderful traverse in the Ecrins Massif to put in the list of climbs to do!!! From Pelvoux hut the route is varied: glaciers, moraines, paths before reaching the Bosse de Sialouze (3 229 m). Back up to the glacier to a couloir leading to Pelvoux glacier then Puiseux point and the well earned summit. Beautiful quick descent!
Ailefroide orientale 3 840 m Marvellous ascent mainly in the snow and relatively easy apart from a small rock passage in the lower section. Leave from Sélé hut: this is an easy varied route to the summit; couloirs, climbing, ascents of névés, we reach the summit very easily. It's out of this world . … Come and discover the Ecrins mountains!
Meige orientale 3 891 m La Meige, a mythical name in the Ecrins Massif. It's definitely worth doing the ascent of this mountain. Several hours are necessary to reach the summit via the Aigle hut perched at 3 450m, the highest in the Ecrins massif. Meige Orientale, pure magic! The mountain in its most perfect form, the photos of the hut at sunset are unbelievable!
Les Bans normal route 3 669m Leave Pilatte hut for the Col des Bans. Follow the pointed arête and then an easy snow couloir and finally easy climbing on rock. The reward is a magnificent summit!
